Music Mark School Award
We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Wiltshire Music Connect have invited Holy Trinity to become a Music Mark School, recognising the value we place on music. This is awarded by the UK Association for Music Education to schools who celebrate music; champion and support access to music for all children. Music Mark works to support and enable the music education sector to delivery high quality musical and social outcomes for all children and young people.
Children can find joy in expressing themselves through music and from this can develop an understanding that beauty can be different things to different people. We enjoy listening, making, singing and learning about music together in collective worship and through our music curriculum. We also have over 70 children learning to play a musical instrument, sing and perform, with our fantastic peripatetic teachers who are committed to sharing their musical expertise across recorders, piano, ukulele, guitar, choir and hand bells. A child who can enjoy music, play an instrument or sing will have a treasure that will bring joy and fulfilment no matter how tough life is.
At Holy Trinity our vision is for our children to 'live a life of fullness' (John 10:10) giving all our children the cultural capital they need to succeed in life, through the richness of music, art and design, performance, dance, literature, culture and diversity, sport and adventure.
