Diversity Day

On Tuesday, we welcomed Ruth Jampel from Judaism for Schools for the latest in our series of diversity days. We began with a lively and engaging assembly about the Jewish faith and the aspects it shares with both Christianity and other world religions. Each class then enjoyed a workshop with Ruth where we were able to handle Jewish artefacts. In addition, each class enjoyed a craft activity making a piece linked to the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. Finally, we came together on the playground to share what we had made and to perform a traditional song and dance.
Our diversity days allow the children to explore a range of rich and diverse cultures, further enabling them to understand and appreciate the beliefs and practices of people from around the world.
A huge thank you to Mrs Jones who works so hard in order to bring these valuable experiences to our children.
