Cross Country Success!

Last Friday, twenty-four children headed off to Dauntsey's School to compete in the annual inter-school cross-country competition. Team Holy Trinity entered teams in each category: Year 3 and 4 girls. Year 3 and 4 boys, year 5 and 6 girls and year 5 and 6 boys.

Eighteen runners contested the year 3 and 4 girls race. Our team of Lulu, Tansy,  Flora, Evie, Harriet and Elsie placed: First, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth; therefore, winning the team event!

Twenty four boys took part in the year 3 and 4 competition. Once again our team performed well.  Thomas, Freddie and Zeb were first, second and third while, Eddie, Franklin and Jenson ensured team HT filled six of the first seven places and took home the team award.

In the year 5/6 races over 50 runners took part in each event. In the girls contest, Elizabeth ran into second, Alicia came third, Matilda fourth and Florence fifth. Strong top fifteen finishes from Orlaith and Eadie secured our third team event trophy.

The year 5 and 6 boys also ran well. George came second overall whilst the remaining runners Harry, Eddie, Thomas, Jamie and Buster put in performances which enabled our boys team to - you've guessed it - win the team trophy.

Four categories entered: Two race wins, nine top three finishes out of twelve and four team awards out of four! A great afternoon's work - well done all. Thank you to Mr Amor (Head coach and sports reporter!) and Mr Gyllenspetz for leading the trip and for the great encouragement from Team HT family supporters!
