CSI Challenge Project
On Tuesday, the Y5 children went to Warminster School for a day of crime scene investigation. The children worked in the school’s science labs to study the evidence left after a laptop theft. The activities included analysing tyre tracks, boot prints, hair and fibre samples, “blood” samples as well as handwriting, ink and fingerprint analysis. The children experienced using Bunsen burners, chromatography and a variety of microscopes in the course of their investigation and got a real glimpse of the opportunities available in Science beyond primary school. As ever, the children were beautifully behaved and a real credit to the school.
