Friday 21 July 2023 Class of 2023 Our Y6 leaver’s celebrations had special memories, hopes and aspirations built into a beautiful service designed by Y6. We shared laughter and tears as they reviewed and remembered their days at Holy Trinity. The amazing trips, the wonderful visitors we have had in school, the parties, music, the dancing, the sport and adventure, the fun we have shared together. Our wonderful Y6 have lived our school values of Joy, Courage, Compassion and Aspiration in their time at Holy Trinity Primary Academy and these values are the foundations of our school community.

Friday 16 June 2023 Music for Miniatures We welcomed Music for Miniatures into school on Tuesday for two amazing live classical music workshops for every child in their key stage groups. This included an inspirational ‘Bubble Bach’ performance (woodwind and strings) followed by an incredible interactive live concert with brass and percussion. What unfolded was profound and uplifting, engaging all children; mixing some laugh-out-loud moments (hosepipe trumpet playing!) with some really lovely music; some new and some familiar to them. It was wonderful to see lots of the children spontaneously moving to the live music.

Sarum class will be enjoying their river cruise on Monday 19th June. Please ensure every child has a small back pack to carry their lunch, water bottle, sun hat and waterproof coat. Comfy shoes are essential. Our thanks to the Bowen family for gifting these river cruises to school.

Friday 3 February 2023 Royal West of England Art Gallery, Banksy and Street Art - a great day out. As part of Sarum's art topic they spent the day experiencing a variety of art in Bristol. Initially, they responded to the photographic exhibition in the Royal West of England Gallery, which included mixed media and pure photographs, on a range of themes from trees, rivers and Brexit! They were a credit to the school, creating a variety of visual representations in response to their experience, alongside some thought provoking insights. In contrast, they took a coach tour around Bristol, seeking out street art, graffiti, and to top it all, a couple of Banksy’s. Already they are creating written work discussing 'what is art’ This has included discussions on how emotive art is and their personal choices and also ideas to create their own art using similar methods. Thank you to Mrs Goddard, Mrs Jones and Mrs Haywood for giving our children these fabulous experiences to deepen learning beyond the classroom.

The sixth form students from Dauntsey’s School International Society joined us for the afternoon to share their heritage, teaching us some Mandarin, how to write our school values in Chinese and the story of the Great Zodiac Animal Race. We have explored the many good changes in the UK during this time and thought about how we can find the courage to work for further change to make it a better place for all. The eighteen beautiful pieces of art work are an incredible timeline, and will also be displayed in The Pavilion for the village community jubilee events over the Bank Holiday weekend.
